What to Expect

The key to an effective therapeutic relationship is communication.  I aim to understand:

  • Reasons for seeking treatment

  • How you are experiencing pain, stress and tension in the body and mind

  • What self care (if necessary) will be the most realistic and effective

Consultation

This not only helps me to focus my attention appropriately but ensures safe and effective treatment.  You can help by filling in as much detail on your first appointment intake form.

I take a lot of information of the pain experience once we start treatment.  Assessment and treatment work in a continuous loop.

Treatment

A variety of techniques are blended to assess and treat. These  include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular facilitation, stretching, mobilizations, breathwork and acupressure.

Planning

Ever been handed a sheet of exercises that you don't understand?

I aim to pace in practices that can be easy adopted into your day to day life.  Self care can range from a set of strength exercises to a simple awareness exercise, depending on your presentation, aims, energy and time.

Clinic Times

"Ellie has helped me with all sorts of aches and pains over the years, primarily due to sports injuries.  She always takes time to assess what is going on for me.  The treatments really addressed my pain and feel AMAZING too.  The follow up advice has not only prevented further injury but educated me on how best to look after my body so I can get back to activity.
